The Alfa Mirage Precious Metal Tester GKS-3000 can quickly, easily and accurately determine the purity of gold, platinum, silver and white gold by two weighings (by measuring the specific gravity): one with the piece in a water tank, the other normally. An internal computer does all the calculations for you. Only works for solid metal pieces without set stones. No acid, needles, or test stones are needed. Leaves no scratches or stains on your gold after measurements. Wide karat range from 9 to 24K. Also functions as a normal gram scale.

Use the GKS-3000 to check the average purity of scrap metal pieces, or to measure the mass and density of up to three kilograms. Additional features include die-cast aluminium housing, a built-in clock, and an RS232 interface for connecting auxiliary devices such as printers. Two-kilogram calibration weight sold separately.

  • GKs can check purity to confirm if the marked stamp on gold (platinum) is correct or not. GKs are very useful to check the most common type of fake gold: lower purity than a marked stamp on gold (platinum).
  • Gold (platinum) which is outside covered real gold (platinum), and inside with other metals can be detected.
  • Non-gold (platinum) metals can be distinguished.
  • Can be measured scrap gold at a time and show average purity.
