A darkfield loupe allows a gemstone to be observed against a dark background with lateral illumination, allowing for easier study and identification of coloured gemstone inclusions and fracture filling.

Portable, battery-operated dark-field 10× loupe. This is a good instrument to have when observing inclusions in diamonds and coloured gemstones, especially fracture-filled diamonds and rubies. Please note: this loupe can only be used for loose gemstones
