How to prepare and use…
- Clean the piece as you would before soldering and assembling.
- Mix with 1 litre of methylated spirits and 150g of Boric acid in a glass or polyurethane container, with a lid.
- Depending on the size of the piece cover it entirely by dipping or brushing on a fine coating.
- Heat all over with a torch to form white-coloured skin, this creates a protective barrier against fire stains.
- Solder joins normally and cleans the work as normal with acid fire stain will be noticeably reduced.
