Innovative gemstone refractometer with built-in LEDs for mains and battery operation.
  • Refractometer contact liquid ND 1.79 and polarization filter included.
  • Refractive index: nD 1.30-1.81, scale graduation 0.01 for an easy, direct and accurate reading
  • Monochromatic illumination with powerful LEDs 589nm of the sodium D wavelength, arranged directly on the refraction element within the refractometer housing, for a sharp and high-contrast image of the shadow lines on the refractometer scale
  • Eyepiece with a wide field of view for comfortable reading of the scale. The optically corrected precision eyepiece is screwed in or out to focus the scale
  • The polarization filter is placed on the eyepiece and rotated when reading. It is the most important accessory of the refractometer for determining the single/double refraction of gemstones
  • External battery pack for AA size included
